read full review I have used Strings Maestro for some time and have a few of the instruments from their top end Strings Maestro library. This was a pleasant surprise to see them bring out a Kontakt release. The Strings Maestro library does make use of strings but also on acoustic, electric and brass instruments. The strings and brass ranges really compliment each other and I was happy to have this library available to purchase. I did have a few issues with some of the keystroke options and also with the interface not having all the libraries etc., but it wasn’t too much of an issue. I’m sure with a little adjustment this can be a great instrument for any new composer getting started!

Revamped Kontakt Library

Kontakt has been updated. More than 1,500 sounds and sounds from renowned composers have been updated with a fresh new vibe. More than 400 custom instruments have been added to the sample library, as well. Users can customize Kontakt with new Key Editor Effect Libraries, which are engineered to work with every new instrument and sound. Next, they can record their tracks in new instruments and then host the results as their own custom presets. They are also able to easily save their “set-up” as a kit, which lets users re-use the same settings and build their own kits.

The last version of Kontakt was very buggy, especially the preset search function and when using the tags. They were fixed in 6.7.0 but 6.7.1 includes two main improvements; fixing a huge number of crashes, and adding an “Add Library” Button to the main screen.

Full compatibility

Windows 11, macOS 12, Apple Mac M1 and ARM-based Silicon Kontakt 6.7.1 is also available in standalone version for Kontakt 5.1 and earlier. Kontakts Plugin, however, is not available for macOS 12 (M1 and M1 Max).

I own the full version of Instruments Kontakt but also have the cracked version of Kontakt. I use the cracked version because I wanted all sounds and utilities to work. I was having crashes and errors and had to reinstall several times. The new update fixed all of that. Now I can be using this new update with no crashes. The sounds and utilities have been added to the software.
